Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of pctechworx.com and the computer, network, managed IT and CRM services provided by PC Tech Worx LLC ("PC Tech Worx," "we"). By using the site or hiring us, you agree to them.

Services and quotes

  • The first consultation is free. Every job is quoted before work begins, and you approve the quote before we start. If the scope changes during the work, we stop and tell you before continuing.
  • Work is performed on-site, in your home, or remotely, as agreed with you. You agree to give us safe access to the equipment and the passwords needed to do the work.
  • Managed IT plans are billed monthly per device and can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice. The plan covers the services listed in your plan agreement; work outside it is quoted separately.

Your data and your equipment

  • We take reasonable care of your equipment and data while it is in our hands. You are responsible for keeping a current backup of your data before any repair unless you have hired us to back it up first; repairs, upgrades and recoveries carry an inherent risk of data loss that no technician can fully remove.
  • Data recovery is attempted on a best-effort basis. We tell you the honest odds up front; recovery is never guaranteed.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of break-fix work and monthly in advance for managed plans, unless your written agreement says otherwise.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Wisconsin law, PC Tech Worx's total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service at issue. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost data, lost business or lost profits, except where caused by our gross negligence.

Text messaging (SMS) terms

Program. When you provide your phone number through the chat widget on pctechworx.com, you agree to receive text messages from PC Tech Worx about your service request, appointment reminders, quotes, follow-ups and occasional service updates or offers.

  • Frequency. Message frequency varies depending on your request.
  • Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details.
  • Opt out. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. You will receive one confirmation message and nothing further.
  • Help. Reply HELP for help, or contact [email protected] or (414) 810-6240.
  • No condition of purchase. Consent to texts is not required to buy any service from us.
  • Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Privacy. How we handle your number is described in our privacy policy. Your mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
